I'm happy that The Other Art Fair is coinciding with International Women's Day this time. All of my art is devoted to women, and this is the perfect opportunity to showcase it.

My work straddles the line between abstraction, expressionism, and realism, with a focus on capturing the curves and shapes of a woman's body. I aim to portray the female aura, warmth, and strength. Light and color inspire me, and I explore their relationship through simple yet beautiful works that celebrate the beauty of womanhood.

In addition to my hand-drawn digital illustrations, I have created AR filters that feature vibrant and detailed accents with flowers and femininity.

This time, I wanted to continue showcasing my Ukrainian heritage and the rich culture of Ukraine through my art. I embarked on creating a series of paintings featuring bouquets, incorporating elements of strangeness with flowers, creatures, vases, and eyes. While Maria Primachenko's work served as an inspiration, I approached it in a unique way.

Using acrylic on canvas, I painted flowers with eyes, emphasizing the significance of eyes in my art. Vision, being the most important sense to me, allows me to perceive the world around me. Hence, incorporating eyes into my paintings feels natural and meaningful.

And of course, I haven't forgotten about depicting women in my artwork. My new paintings portray themes of friendship, care, and love. The simplicity of these paintings carries a sense of complexity, reflecting the intricacies within relationships. Friendship and love may seem simple on the surface, but in reality, they always involve challenges and difficulties.

It has been an incredibly challenging year for me, filled with bad news and various difficulties in both my life and my family's life. However, amidst these hardships, my dog Lea has been a source of immense joy and love, providing solace during these tough times.

Interestingly, this was the first time I ventured into drawing dogs, and it was our whippet that inspired me to create a small series of artworks featuring sighthounds. Our whippet possesses an aristocratic aura, which I thoroughly enjoyed capturing in my paintings, just as I do with female bodies.

My acrylic paintings on canvas embody simplicity, characterized by soft lines and ample space. For this particular series, I aimed to create a sense of tranquility using neutral light colors. Additionally, I incorporated an extra digital layer, utilizing augmented reality (AR). I created digital illustrations inspired by the work of Ukrainian artist Maria Primachenko, who is known for her delightful and unconventional flowers and creatures.

Ukraine holds a special place in my heart, and I am determined to showcase more of our incredible cultural heritage. 🤍

In this exhibition, I made a conscious decision to blend simplicity with intricate details. It's a new venture for me, but I believe this approach truly reflects my essence as an artist. You have the opportunity to explore a new dimension of art, where classical meets digital. All you need are your eyes, your smartphone and your soul to fully grasp the message I intended to convey.

Moreover, given the challenging circumstances in Ukraine, including the ongoing war and Russian invasion, I, as a Ukrainian artist, wanted to dedicate the digital layer of my artworks to Ukrainian women. It is my way of honoring their strength and resilience during these difficult times.
